Your weapon needs to connect with your enemy, and this means that where the weapon hits is usually different from where the reticle is pointing at.įor slower classes like Warhammer, you should get the Perks that increase charge speed, or increase charge endurance. You need to look at your weapon and not just your aiming reticle. Using Blade's scrollwheel-down which is the "Vertical Slash", this almost always guarantees a headshot, which with this Perk can kill an enemy in 1 hit. As Blade, I use the Perk that enhances headshot damage for basic attacks. Perks are crucial in maximizing your class potential. Enemies can counter with a Guard or Parry though. The "Q"-key skill launches enemy into the air, where you can then jump and perform a Jump Attack (preferable a Vertical Slash so it hits downward). This one is the best way to counter an enemy that is just spamming attacks or guarding all the time. It is often spammed by newer players and can be countered by staying outside of the arc of attack and responding with an attack after the enemy attacks (and has a vulnerable opening) or, using Guard and pressing Spacebar to dodge to the enemy's side outside of the arc and countering with a LMB or Vertical Slash attack.īlade's "E"-key skill is used to stagger an enemy, and works like a Parry or Guard Break.
